About

Hi,

I am an experienced tutor with years of experience working in the education sector. After completing my degree in 2018 at the University of Plymouth, I began working and gaining experience in the education sector. Initially working with students of all ages with specific learning needs and challenges. Then moving into secondary school teaching, specialising in English and humanities. I have years of 1-1 tutoring experience, running interventions and supporting students to get back into a school setting.

I began tutoring in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic and in 2020 due to demand I moved into full time tutoring while completing my PhD. As an educator, I believe that no child should be left behind. School can be very overwhelming and challenging for some and it’s my ambition to support and guide students through their learning within a supportive, 1-1 environment.

Every child should have the right to a good education, in some circumstances a grammar school education can be the right decision for high performing children. Specifically those who have been identified as performing above the expected standard in English, Reading and Mathematics.

I am privileged to see students’ grow in their confidence and ability to learn, while developing their own knowledge and skill set.

Every child has the ability to succeed!

Rebecca.
